D visas or Crew Visas are required for any crew serving aboard aircrafts and sea vessels in the U.S. If you need to apply for a D visa or any combination of C-1 visa, D, visa, and B-1 visa, reach out to Yekrangi & Associates today!

Types of Visas for Crew Members

Depending on the type of vessel you will be on or the reason for your visit, you may need a combination of visas.

Common types of visa combinations for crew members:

  • For some vessels that are only moving through the U.S. or its waters, crew need to carry a combination transit/crew visa (C-1 visa/D visa).
  • For some vessels within the Outer Continental Shelf, crew can carry a modified B-1 visa instead of the C visa.
  • Crew members who are visiting within the U.S. in between their time on sea/in air must also get a B-1/B-2 visa.
  • If applying for both C-1/D and B-1/B-2, only one application fee is required.
